EV Maritime has launched New Zealand’s first fully electric passenger ferry, marking a major step toward decarbonising Auckland’s public transport network

The new vessel, the first in EV Maritime’s EVM200 series, will operate between downtown Auckland and the suburb of Half Moon Bay.

The ferry offers service speeds up to 25 knots and a range of 20 miles, and can carry 200 passengers.
