Port of Bilbao backs offshore wind

The Port of Bilbao is set to strengthen its position as a strategic hub for offshore wind energy with the approval of a major concession expansion for Haizea Bilbao, part of the Haizea Wind Group

The port’s board of directors has greenlit an additional 128,668m² of space at Docks AZ-2 and AZ-3, adjacent to Haizea’s current site.

The expansion supports Haizea Wind’s phased growth strategy and reinforces Bilbao’s role in the offshore wind supply chain.
