Shanghai and Evergreen team up on methanol

Shanghai International Port Group and Evergreen Marine have teamed up to supply green methanol to ships in port

Under the deal, SIPG will be responsible for the sourcing, supply and bunkering of green methanol to Evergreen’s 24 dual-fuel methanol vessels which the company is expecting in 2026 and 2027.

Construction of the necessary infrastructure will be shared by Samsung Heavy Industries and Nihon Shipyard, a joint venture between Japan Marine United Corporation and Imabari Shipbuilding.
