An oil tanker has successfully connected to shore-based power at a Swedish port

The Swedish port of Gävle has become one of the first in the world to successfully connect a tanker vessel to shore-based power.

The shore power connection was provided by Cavotec, based on new standards drawn up in co-operation with other ports and operators.
