Successful sea trials for ammonia OSV

Singapore-flagged ammonia-powered vessel, the Fortescue Green Pioneer in the Port of Singapore.

Propulsion and manoeuvrability trials of an ammonia-fuelled offshore supply vessel have successfully completed at the Port of Singapore

The ten-day trial of Fortescue’s Green Pioneer used 4.4 tonnes of liquid ammonia in combination with diesel and hydrogenated vegetable oil.

The Maritime & Port Authority of Singapore created a designated area within the harbour plus a temporary emergency operations centre.
