An electrical network to supply shore-based power gets under way in the first stage of Valencia’s electrification project

The Port of Valencia is planning an ad hoc electrical network to supply energy to ships at dock as the first stage of its electrification project, launched this month.

The announcement was made jointly by Federico Torres, head of ecological transition at the Port Authority of Valencia (PAV) and Joan Calabuig, president of Valenciaport at the opening of the ‘Electrification of Ports: Projects in Development’ event held on International Environment Day on 5 June.
