Forth Ports PLC has added the Carbon Trust Standard to its environmental credentials after significantly reducing carbon emissions across the Group by over 4%.
The port operator gained the Standard following a rigorous assessment of a package of measures designed to ensure that all of its businesses are more sustainable. Forth Ports’ carbon leverage remains in excess of 10:1 as they continue to save their customers more than ten times the carbon that they emit as a Group through enabling the movement of goods by sea rather than on land.
