Material handling solutions firm GENMA has received an order for a GHC100 mobile harbour crane for delivery to India’s Visakhapatnam Port.
The Shanghai-headquartered company, a subsidiary of Jiangsu Rainbow Heavy Industries, said in a release that the product will mostly be used for handling coal at the port’s West Quay-7 and West Quay-8.
The order follows delivery of three GENMA mobile harbour cranes to India’s Paradip International Cargo Terminal (PICT) in January this year.
According to the release, the new crane has a maximum capacity of 100 tonnes and a maximum outreach of 48 metres.
Additionally, it comes equipped with diesel-electric drive and a tyre-type undercarriage.
GENMA, which is expanding its operations into more nations, said that the crane will be delivered to Visakhapatnam Port at the end of 2018.
