Another terminal for Buenaventura Bay

Construction has begun on a new dedicated container terminal in Buenaventura Bay, close to the existing facilities in Colombia.

Port Strategy: the serenity of Buenaventura Bay will be disrupted by the start of box terminal works

With an expected total cost of $200m, the project, headed by GEPSA, is also receiving technical input from P&L and one of its stockholders, Grup TCB.

The terminal is looking to handle more than 200,000 teu/year from its proposed operational date in six months time, with two berthing positions for panamax type ships.

It will also be capable of offering container freight station services, dynamic weighing scales for trucks and non-intrusive cargo inspection.
