Bolivan bids to manage Arica rejected

A request by the government of Bolivia to be allowed to manage the Chilean port of Arica has been rejected by the government in Santiago.

In all, 82% of total cargo at Arica is generated by Bolivia, which would like to see the current operating concession annulled as a means of reducing handling costs.
