APM Terminals washes hands of Colonet
APM Terminals has abandoned plans to builda container terminal at the proposed PuntaColonet Portin Mexicoblaming the extremely high investment demands of the project.
Instead, it indicated a strong interest in setting up a box handling facility at the port of Lázaro Cárdenas. The company believes a new terminal is required in Lázaro Cárdenas given a 23% annual rise in box traffic on Mexico’s Pacific coast.
