Bloomberg has reported that the firm is said to be working with Morgan Stanley to examine the company’s options. It is predicted that the sale could be valued at $1.2bn.

Back in early 2011, Advent agreed to buy 50% of Brazil’s second-busiest container port. The terminal can handle approximately 1.5m cargo containers per year and serves 4,400 exporters and importers.

Port Strategy contacted Advert International but the company declined to comment on the matter.
