Barranqueras port to re-open

Strategic studies funded by the United Nations suggest that the reactivation of Argentina’s port of Barranqueras is key to improving transport in South Americas central corridor. In the 1920s, the port was second in importance only to Rosario in the Paraná region. However, extensive dredging work will be required before the port can be re-opened.
