Sandrine Ferdane, chief executive of the Brazilian arm of the bank, said that the capital boost will be larger than the two previous injections undertaken in 2015, which totalled $123m.

Brazilian state investment bank BNDES says that it will finance just half of all projects on offer, allowing the private sector to pick up the rest.
