The IMO subcommittee on dangerous goods, solid cargoes and containers (DSC) has produced draft amendments to the Code of Safe Practice for Cargo Stowage and Securing (CSS Code), addressing problems associated with access to lashing points on containerships. The scope of these amendments includes both ship design and construction, and operational procedure.
