Challenges from four companies are threatening Kembla Gateway’s plans to upgrade, landing the company in the New South Wales Land and Environment Court. The plans were contested in 2004 by the companies, who claim that Wollongong City Council approved them without the same environmental approvals as other projects, making for an uneven playing field.
