The 8th GreenPort Congress, hosted by the Port of Antwerp, will take place at the Hilton Hotel Antwerp, from 9-11 October 2013. The programme, which was devised by an Advisory Board comprising members of ESPO, the ESPO Sustainable Development Committee, EcoPorts and the Port of Antwerp, will cover topics that affect all maritime ports and terminals, including:

Dealing with air emissions in ports, implementing OPS, the Environmental Ship Index, enforcing environmental legislation, waste management in ports, Engaging with industrial ecology, port reception facilities, ship recycling, dust management, ports and cities working together, noise zoning in ports, strategic port planning, environmental reporting and communication, the Port of Antwerp's 2nd Sustainability Report, ship owners and terminal operators' environmental reporting.

As well as being informed on the latest policy and technology, delegates will also have the opportunity to participate in working groups and to share their first hand experience with peers from across the global logistics chain.
