New York Waterfront Plan
New York’s new waterfront plan will commit to spend more that $US3bill over the next three years.
As well as adding 50 new acres of parks, overhauling the sewage system to reduce raw waste emissions to the rivers, the plan also calls for dredging parts of the harbour to increase depth for larger container ships expected after the enlargement of the Panama Canal is completed.
