WR Systems awarded for clean shipping

WR Systems’ Emsys consists of a single rack unit which provides emissions and geographic position data for Voyage Compliance Management. The laser optic, sensor driven system also provides real time and historic data to provide a cost effective solution for environmentally friendly shipping.

Dave Edwards, president of WR Systems, said: “Our mission with Emsys was simple: to change the game. WR Systems has secured contracts for Emsys over the past 12 months with shipyards in Korea, China and Japan. “This, combined with many successful offshore air permit installations, allows Emsys to support the global shipping industry in meeting the many challenges associated with clean shipping,” Mr Edwards added.

The awards, which are held annually in London, recognise key maritime players who have contributed to efficient, environmentally friendly shipping in categories such as ‘Safety at Sea’, ‘Investment in People’ and ‘Innovation in Ship Operations’.
