Busan Port Authority and PSA sign MOU

President of PSA, Mr Tan Chong Meng, and CEO of BPA, MR Lim Ki Tack, signed the MOU on 7 December 2012 in Busan, South Korea. PSA and BPA say they recognise the opportunities to work together to make use of the mutual benefits in the Port of Busan, which is the largest transhipment port in Northeast Asia.

The MOU will strengthen the partnership in terms of exchanging information and initiatives for port development, management and operations.

Mr Tan Chong Meng, Group CEO of PSA, said: “PSA is honoured to be given this opportunity to strengthen its partnership with the Busan Port Authority and we are pleased to be able to play a part in the growth and development of Busan Port.”

Mr Lim Ki Tack, president of BPA, added: “I believe that this MOU will contribute to further economic growth, not only between our two ports, but also between Korea and Singapore.”

Under the partnership, PSA, which is already a terminal operator at Busan New Port, will provide its extensive experience in managing and developing ports in Asia, Europe and the Americas.
