China planning new LNG terminals

China is considering developing three new LNG terminals, one at Qingdao and two near Shanghai. Energy planners expect gas demand in the eastern coastal provinces to hit 37bn cbm/year by 2015, an average annual growth rate of 12.5%. Sinopec, one of Chinas largest oil companies, is leading development effort in Quindao.
