Cosco reports drop in box traffic
Cosco Pacific reported a 6.7% loss in traffic during July to 3.78m teu.
At its Shanghai terminal, throughput was down 13.4% to 441,000 teu and at Hong Kong there was a 19.5% loss of traffic to 230,000 teu.
Meanwhile, at the Yantian terminal on the Pearl river throughput was down 16.7% to 710,000 teu. In contrast, Qingdao was up 2.8% to 848,600 teu and Tianjin rose 11% to 188,700 teu.
There was little changed at Dalian, which handled 394,400 teu.
