East Java’s four port plan
East Java is to build four new ports by 2013 at Lamongan, Gresik, Probolinggo and Banyuwangi.
The provincial governor aims to boost the region’s output so that it eventually tops that of Jakarta’s. Container ports costing $328m and $410m respectively will also be built at the ports of Socah and Teluk Lamong.
