Five bid for JNPT
Five of eight interested parties have entered firm bids for the concession to run the third container terminal at JNPT in India.
Applications totalling over $987m had been submitted by ports across the country seeking funding assistance in order to comply with new U.S.
Although not officially released, those bidding appear to be Maersk Sealand/Concor, PSA/ Bombay Dyeing Group, SeaKing/CGM/CMA, and United Liner Agency with the UK’s CDC.
