Kochi port to sell land to tide it over financial difficulties

Indias Shipping Ministry has given Kochi Port Trust permission to release some of its land for a period of 60 years to help it during the current financial crisis. In all, 20 acres of waterfront on Bolghatty Island and a further eight acres in Marine Drive have already been offered to investors, with other land in the process of being identified.
