Korean and Chinese ports to cooperate
Busan Port Authority (BPA) in Korea has established cooperative ties through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Dafeng Port, located in Chinas Jiangsu Province.
On the basis of the MoU, both parties will work to establish direct container services, make efforts to vitalise trade, and improve both ports’ competitiveness, utilising Busan’s transhipment capabilities where possible.
BPA said that close cooperation with small ports in China plays a pivotal role in attracting more transhipment cargo to Busan.
