New Japanese super port born
Tokyo, Yokohama and Kawasaki have announced plans to integrate their respective port operations to enhance their collective international competitiveness.
Harbour charges and procedures will be unified, while the combined traffic level will rank the new super-port about 13th on the global scale.
The ports plan to attract traffic from regional rivals, such as Busan in South Korea.
