Paradip Port Trust remains unhappy with earlier proposals it received to build three new berths, one of which will be a deep draught facility. It may therefore invite fresh bids or ask for modifications on those received earlier. This decision has been prompted by a rethink in the location of the berths, which will also have to fulfil a multi-purpose and drybulk handling role, rather than being dedicated to one particular trade.
