PSA trials AGVs
Singapore Technologies Kinetics and ZPMC have been contracted by PSA to develop two automated guided vehicle prototypes incorporating hybrid technology to provide a transport link between quay and stacking yard at the companys Singapore facility.
In addition, Cargotec will provide the necessary fleet management system to enable the vehicles to operate entirely independently of human operatives.
Before being placed in service, the two prototypes will undergo pilot trials over the next 24 months.
