Second half recovery forecast for Chinese ports

For the first six months, throughput rose by 3.2%, with four consecutive months of growth now recorded.

In June, coal handled by ports dropped by 0.4%, with the eight largest reporting a combined 5.9% decrease.

Metallic ores, at 94m tonnes, were also 6% lower. However, analysts remain confident that business will begin moving upwards in the second half of this year.
