MTL partners with TSB
Hong Kongs MTL is the latest terminal operator to team up with a software provider – South Koreas Total Soft Bank (TSB) in this case – to develop terminal management systems. Besides fulfilling its own terminals needs, the joint venture known as Modern Terminals Operations System (MOTOS), will also market its services in China.
The vessel has a capacity of up to 1 ton with every lift and a range of attachments, keeping waters free from unattractive and potentially dangerous flotsam and jetsam.
Based on J2EE (Java 2 platform, Enterprise Edition), the new system comprises three major modules: planning, operation and management.
TSB chairman, J.S. Choi, says: “TSB has a proven track record for the provision of high quality and flexible container terminal management solutions – backed by our 67 terminals implemented all over the world. We will continue to work closely with Modern Terminals to contribute to the modernisation of the maritime logistics industry in China.”
