Operator sought for Cape Fear River

North Carolina State Ports Authority is seeking one or possibly two companies interested in building a new container terminal on Cape Fear River in Brunswick County.

He blames this on the failure of port operators to respect the existing collective bargaining agreement, which has prompted some stevedores to withdraw labour.

The project, which is known as North Carolina International Port, aims at putting together a terminal capable of handling 1.5m TEUs.
