The new facility will cater to the domestic Indian market with a range of products, including various types of reels for use by ports and maritime businesses.

The new site will also help increase production capacity for shore power solutions, and act as a supply chain hub for global operations.

“This new production facility marks an important milestone for Cavotec as we strengthen our presence in the region,” said David Pagels, Cavotec’s chief executive.

“The facility will enable us to serve the large and growing market in India, enhancing our ability to deliver innovative and high-quality solutions to our customers locally and globally.”

Held on 3 July 2024 the inauguration ceremony featured a comprehensive tour, providing an opportunity for customers and partners to witness firsthand the production and processes in place.

Cavotec decided in spring 2023 to establish a production presence in India. The new facility is scalable and did not require any major investment as it took over existing premises.
