End-to-end automated port cost control
HarborLab and Danaos have launched a fully integrated port cost management solution, enabling automated data flows and advancing port digitisation.
The collaboration integrates HarborLab’s platform directly with Danaos’ core systems, delivering real-time synchronisation and eliminating manual intervention.
The initiative addresses growing demand for port cost management efficiency by replacing traditional XML-based processes with seamless, automated data exchange across port operations and financial workflows.
“Danaos is the most widely adopted ERP system in the Greek shipping market and we are excited to announce the successful completion of our first full integration between our systems,” said Antonis Malaxianakis, Founder & CEO of HarborLab.
“This milestone partnership enables clients to fully automate their port cost management processes, achieve faster sign-offs, and gain real-time visibility into their financial operations.”
Continuous digital workflow
The integration connects HarborLab with Danaos’ Port Expenses Module, Voyage Estimation, and Protocol, ensuring a continuous digital workflow from port call initiation through to expense approval and reporting.
Automated data transfer enables agency appointments to be initiated instantly, while synchronised updates ensure accuracy across all systems without duplication or delay.
Enhanced invoice-checking workflows through the Protocol Module strengthen cost control and improve accrual closure timelines.
By leveraging automated data, the solution reduces errors, increases transparency and accelerates financial reporting cycles.
Danaos CEO Nikolas Theodosiou stated the partnership supports a broader ecosystem approach, combining port digitisation with operational efficiency.
By eliminating manual processes, the solution allows maritime companies to streamline administration, improve decision-making and maintain tighter control over financial data within increasingly complex port environments.
