The Georgia Ports Authority (GPA) and Wallenius Wilhelmsen have signed a new a 20-year terminal agreement to consolidate the company’s port and logistics activities at the Port of Brunswick. To improve capacity in Brunswick, GPA has created an additional 130 acres of ro-ro storage, plus developed warehousing on Colonel’s Island to meet processing demands. A further 300 acres are also available for future development. The deal also helps to combine vehicle trucking fleets, rather than dividing trucking capacity across Georgia’s two ports.
