Portico to expand services with new business manager
Deep water cargo terminal Portico has appointed a new freight forwarding business development manager to help expand its customs and cargo handling services.
Situated on the UK’s south coast, Portico has a fleet of eight HGVs and is constructing a new purpose-built general cargo warehouse creating up to 50,000 square feet of storage.
With over 20 years in the industry working for brands such as DHL and UPS, its new business development manager, Damir Sluga, has been brought in to help develop haulage, freight forwarding and warehousing opportunities.
“Portico has already successfully established itself as a port operator and is in a great position to expand its expertise into the wider logistics area,” said Damir Sluga.
“Companies have faced huge issues getting their goods where they need to go, with the effects of the pandemic, Brexit, the war in Ukraine, all causing issues for those who rely on an efficient supply chain.
“I’m confident Portico can reduce some of that uncertainty, and I’m looking forward to meeting customers and making sure they can benefit from the expertise and knowledge Portico provides.
“We can take care of the full logistics package, from ship to shore, planes to places, rail to road, wherever in the world we will make sure goods arrive where they’re needed and on time.”
