Startups pitch port security solutions

Opentop, Valenciaport’s innovation hub, has been evaluating the solutions put forward by startups Synnect, Quasar Dynamics, Actiontracker and Pansarri in answer to the port authority’s ‘Situational awareness of port police in the Port of Valencia: the case of dangerous goods’ challenge.

The chosen firm will join Opentop’s Business Growth Program, joining another startup selected to face a separate challenge – ‘Adapting ports to climate change’.

Registrations are also open for a further two port logistics challenges – Infoport’s ‘AI to connect different information systems in transport and port logistics’ and Opentop’s ‘Port energy transition and decarbonisation’.

The chosen startups will have access to the leading companies in the sector, working hand in hand with them to develop solutions.

Synnect will present its ‘RADIANT’ solution, which enables real-time asset detection, tracking and traceability in ports, using only remote camera and LiDAR measurements.

Quasar Dynamics is a developer which uses emerging technologies to connect businesses with pioneering solutions whilst Actiontracker helps workers and organisations improve safety, security and operations management.

And finally, Panssari consists of three technology modules for access control, intrusion detection and surveillance in port facilities.
