Port consultancy service

World Crane Services (WCS) has developed WCS Consultancy in response to ever-changing challenges and promises to identify tailored solutions in operations support, training, project management, engineering and QHSE [quality, health, safety and environment] services.

“With a vast experience of terminal development and operations, plus a demonstrated track record of continuous optimisation, clients can be assured that WCS Consultancy is fully engaged to identify, understand and solve problems,” said chief operating officer of World Crane Services, Ayman Eldawi.

WCS is an independently run business owned by logistics provider DP World.

“With a strong focus on delivering the best possible quality of service, efficiency, reliability and customer satisfaction, WCS has always applied this ethos to each and every project,” commented senior vice president, global operations and engineering at DP World, Matthew Hoag.

“So, it was no surprise that there have been increasing requests for their expanded services to fill an obvious gap in the market of providers who are also port operators.”

Since it came to market in 2002, WCS has provided third party inspections to 185 ship-to-shore container cranes (including 41 tandem), 218 rubber tyre gantry cranes and 120 rail mounted gantry cranes in over 30 countries worldwide. It currently has 30 global projects under assessment.
