It is a place for industry professionals to meet and discuss future innovation, economic and environmental considerations – and develop partnerships that will help build a sustainable future. Remote bandwagon runs on
The recent opening of Evergreen’s new Terminal 7 in Kaohsiung, Taiwan and similarly the creation of the Port of Duqm’s new container hub in Oman both signal the wider adoption of automation in STS crane design.
As the Terminal 7, Kaohsiung and port of Duqm projects highlight, STS crane production now increasingly forms part of a terminal system, a handling process that, drawing on modern digital and other advanced technology, aims to seamlessly achieve expedited container movement. Effectively, today’s modern STS cranes are being developed to work at optimum levels in a smart port concept.
