‘Good neighbours’ get Brazilian government thumbs up

The Brazilian government is promoting a ‘good neighbour policy’ for ports so that delays can be avoided when awarding concessions and leases for terminals, 54 of which are currently up for renewal.

The government will identify potential tender problems before the Audit Commission, responsible for approving the concessions, is asked to make a ruling.

This will enable deadlines established by the Brazilian president to be met, says the government.
