Lajes project halted in Brazil

All work on the projected Terminal Port of Lajes in Brazil has been halted by a court injunction taken out by the Federal Public Ministry.

This has been done to prevent potential environmental damage to the surrounding area, which will require extensive study before permission to build the port can go ahead.
