Peru to invest $3bn in ports

Over the next five years, Peru is to spend $3bn on modernising its ports network.

Half of this will come from the private sector and the other half from the state through public-private partnerships.

Currently, Peru is ranked 106th out of 142 countries in the world in terms of port infrastructure.
