President inks Manta concession

The president of Ecuador has signed a decree allowing the port of Manta to be offered as a single concession and an operator is expected to be in place by December.

In an initial phase up to 2014, $36m will be invested in equipment as part of the total investment package of $136m. By 2030, the port should be handling 3m teu.
