Valparaiso box concession could fail again
Asaf Ashar, ports consultant at the University of New Orleans, believes that the new tender proposed for Terminal 2 at the Chilean port of Valparaiso may well fail again.
He said that given the success of a similar tender at San Antonio port, bidders may be reluctant to now opt for Valparaiso.
He added that the new terminal is not suitable for modern vessel sizes, while landside links are questionable.
