CM Labs launches remote crane simulator
CM Labs Simulations has launched its new remotely operated rubber-tyred gantry (RTG) crane training system.
The solution debuted at TOC Europe 2025, held in Rotterdam on 17 – 19 June, alongside a series of next-generation training technologies.
Developed in response to industry demand, the RTG system expands CM Labs’ Intellia product line, designed to improve operator readiness, enhance safety and support the transition to remote-controlled equipment.
“As ports navigate the complexities of automation, sustainability and workforce development, effective training for world-class operators is an essential requirement,” said Lisa Barbieri, vice-president of marketing and strategic partnerships at CM Labs.
“The Intellia product line delivers consistent, objective and realistic training that helps ports accelerate onboarding and maintain high operational standards.”

The RTG simulator features a remote operating station from Spohn + Burkhardt, complete with motorised, height-adjustable controls and ergonomic memory settings for operator comfort. Paired with CM Labs’ high-fidelity Intellia Training Pack, the system delivers customisable, guided skill-building exercises.
CM Labs also displayed its updated ship-to-shore crane training pack, now with instant record and replay, and a new AI-powered chatbot, developed through its acquisition of Montreal-based AI Redefined.
