Imports climb, while export markets lag

Global container volumes rose sharply in October, good news as 2025 enters its final quarter. But there’s continued subdued demand for North American and European exports.

According to the latest market analysis by Container Trade Statistics (CTS), global container volumes climbed 2.8% month-on-month to 16.3 million teu, surpassing the 16M threshold for the sixth time this year.
