Starting in late October, the Foundation Degree in Leadership and Management (Ports) will be available over two years on a part-time basis.

The degree adopts a "Masterclass approach", with the classes delivered at the university by a university lecturer with a senior PD Ports employee offering practical examples of how this can be applied in practice at the Port.

Ports Skills Safety, the port sector training organisation, is said to be viewing the degree as a pilot, with a view to rolling the programme out to other UK ports in the future.
