Libya signs landmark port PPP

The Misurata Free Zone has signed a landmark public–private partnership to modernise and expand the Misurata Free Zone Port, marking Libya’s first major PPP infrastructure project outside the energy sector and signalling a new phase in economic recovery

The agreement brings together MFZ, Doha-based infrastructure investor Maha Capital Partners and Terminal Investment Limited, the global port operating arm of Mediterranean Shipping Company, the world’s largest container shipping line.
