Valencia launches EU port cybersecurity project

The Port of Valencia has hosted the official launch meeting of ATHENA, a European initiative that aims to develop a flexible and scalable cybersecurity solution for software and hardware suppliers

With a budget exceeding €5 million, the project brings together partners across Europe to strengthen digital infrastructure security and support the implementation of EU-wide cybersecurity standards.

ATHENA will provide tools that support early-stage reliability and compliance of new digital products with harmonised European legislation such as the Cyber Resilience Act, the NIS2 Directive and the Data Act.
