Red Sea Gateway Terminal facts & figures
The 1m sq m Tusdeer Bonded and Re-export Zone is being developed alongside the Red Sea Gateway Terminal (RSGT) – the intention being to create an integrated logistics hub for the Red Sea region.
Both facilities belong to the same parent company but they are being developed separately.
Saudi Trade & Export Development Company (Tusdeer) was established specifically to develop and operate what is the country’s first free trade zone, offering prebuilt warehouses, empty sites, storage areas and a wide range of “added value” operations such as unpacking/packing, assembly, labelling and support services.
“The logistics park and associated re-export zone are run as a separate entity to RSGT but have the same CEO,” says RSGT chief operating officer Lye Seng Tan. “The Tusdeer facility is complementary to RSGT and there will be a lot of synergies.” As we run the terminal, we will attract our customers and all the business will filter down to the Tusdeer facility.”
